: Regulation of medical devices in Algeria is conducted by the National Laboratory for the Control of Pharmaceutical Products (LNCPP), under the supervision of the Ministry of Health and Population.
The classification system is similar to the EU system (Classes I, IIa, IIb and III).
The importation license takes 30 days to be issued. The registration timeline outlined by the LNCPP has not yet been implemented.
Licenses issued in Algeria expire after three years.
